LK Preservation Specialists is a woman‑owned, full‑service cultural resource management firm based in Arlington, Virginia and Athens, Georgia. We partner with private landowners, non‑profit organizations, municipalities, and government agencies to provide thoughtful stewardship, planning, and programming for the historic properties entrusted to their care. Our work is grounded in collaboration, and we value the strong relationships we maintain with State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) staff and preservation organizations across the regions where we work.

Our senior cultural resources team meets the professional qualifications outlined by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior in History, Architectural History, and Historic Preservation (36 CFR Part 61). We bring extensive experience with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, National Register of Historic Places eligibility criteria, and state and local preservation ordinances, ensuring every project is guided by both expertise and respect for heritage.
